กระดาษลูกฟูกเป็นกระดาษที่มีลักษณะของการนำแผ่นกระดาษมาประกบกันเป็นชั้นๆ โดยที่ชั้นกลางจะถูกทำให้เป็นคลื่นลอนโดยเครื่องทำลอน หรือ Corrugators เพื่อเพิ่มความแข็งแรงให้กับแผ่นกระดาษ ซึ่งเมื่อนำมาผลิตเป็นกล่องแล้วส่วนนี้ส่งผลช่วยเพิ่มความสามารถในการรับแรงให้กับบรรจุภัณฑ์เมื่อนำมาวางเรียงซ้อนกัน และเนื่องจากกระดาษลูกฟูกมีความยืดหยุ่นจึงสามารถนำไปประยุกต์และออกแบบใช้เป็นบรรจุภัณฑ์กับสินค้าหลากหลายประเภท

Corrugated cardboard sheet is consisted of layers of linerboard which are on the outer, and a fluted (or two in case of double wall type cardboard) corrugated board which was made by “flute lamination machines” or “corrugators”. These fluted layers make the corrugated cardboard has unique properties that resulting in its rigidity to withstand the pressure and can support heavy weight when stacked. Also, its flexibility and versatility in shapes and forms has meant that it can be designed and customised to individual requirements.

เกรดกระดาษลูกฟูกที่มีในประเทศสามารถแยกตามสีของกระดาษได้ดังนี้
Cardboard type that is available in Thailand can be categorised as follows


  • KI (แกรมกระดาษ 125, 150, 185/ตารางเมตร) (Grade 125, 150, 185 grams/SQM.)
    เป็นกระดาษลูกฟูกสีน้ำตาล/ครีมอ่อน เป็นเกรดที่นิยมใช้กันมากเนื่องจากสีของกระดาษหนุนให้งานพิมพ์ดูโดดเด่นสวยงาม และสีกล่องเป็นสีสบายตา สามารถรับแรงค่อนข้างมาก
    This type of cardboard has light brown colour in appearance. It is popularly used as its colour promotes the printings and the light brown tone is eye pleasing. Also this type of cardboard has favourable properties that resulting in strength and durability.

  • KA (แกรมกระดาษ 125, 150, 185. 230/ตารางเมตร) (Grade 125, 150, 185, 230 grams/SQM.)
    เป็นกระดาษลูกฟูกสีน้ำตาลทอง เป็นเกรดที่มีคุณสมบัติที่ดีที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับเกรดอื่นๆ จึงเป็นที่นิยมใช้มากที่สุด โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกับกล่องที่ใช้ในห้องเย็นหรืออุตสาหกรรมอาหารแช่แข็ง เพราะกระดาษเกรดนี้มีความสามารถในการซึมซับความชื้นสูงมากกว่าเกรดอื่นๆ 
    This type of cardboard has golden yellow in appearance hence it’s most appealing to most clients. Apart of its attractive appearance it also contains the best qualities when compared to other types. Hence it is mostly used in logistic industry. One standout property that this type of cardboard has is high moisture content resistance, a gauge of kraftliner to withstand the moisture over a period of time. That means, it can absorb moisture the most compared to others. Therefore, this type of cardboard is widely used in frozen food industry as well.

  • KL (แกรมกระดาษ 125, 150, 205/ตารางเมตร) (Grade 125, 150, 205 grams/SQM.)
    เป็นกระดาษลูกฟูกสีน้ำตาล ที่มีโทนลักษณะเอิร์ธโทน เป็นเกรดที่นิยมมากในต่างประเทศ ในประเทศไทยจะพบว่ากระดาษเกรดนี้นิยมใช้กับสินค้าพรีเมี่ยม สินค้าที่ต้องการเน้นความเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม
    This type of cardboard has brownish tone in colour. It’s widely used internationally. In Thailand we have started to see the use of this type as packaging with premium goods and environmentally friendly products as its earth tone appearance lends itself to a friendly and healthy look products.

  • KT (แกรมกระดาษ 125, 150, 175, 200, 250/ตารางเมตร) (Grade 125, 150, 175, 200, 205 grams/SQM.)
    เป็นกระดาษลูกฟูกสีน้ำตาลคล้ายกับเกระดาษ KL แต่จะเป็นโทนที่เข้มกว่า กระดาษเกรดนี้มีคุณสมบัติใกล้เคียงกับกระดาษเกรด KI และ KL
    This type of cardboard also has a brownish tone in colour but is the darkest of shade compared to both KI and KL. It has similar properties as of KI and KL.

  • ขาว (แกรมกระดาษ 170/ตารางเมตร) (Grade 170 grams/SQM.)
    เป็นกระดาษลูกฟูกสีขาว ดังนั้นเมื่อนำมาพิมพ์งานจะส่งให้งานพิมพ์ดูสวยงาม โดดเด่น และเพิ่มภาพลักษณ์ให้กับสินค้า อย่างไรก็ตามกระดาษเกรดนี้ไม่เหมาะที่จะนำไปใช้กับกล่องที่อยู่ในห้องเย็นหรือมีความชื่น เนื่องจากกระดาษเกรดนี้สามารถซึมซับความชื้นได้น้อยกว่าเกรดอื่น 
    This type of cardboard is simply the most expensive when compare unit price with other types. Due to its white colour as a background all the colour that printed on will standout and be attractive. It undoubtedly adds values to the product. However, it is the least favourable once moisture content resistance is considered.
